The Android app turns your phone's hotspot into a paid EZLINK node. You'll download the APK directly from us and pair it with an 8-character code — no Play Store, no Node ID or Token to type.
Sign in, accept the short Host Agreement, and we'll generate your Node ID + Token (and the installer, if there is one) on the spot.
Download this guide as PDFOn this site, go to Owner → My Nodes → Add Android Node. You'll see an 8-character code (e.g. K3F9-2XQ7) and a QR code right next to it. The code is valid for 24 hours and can only be used once. Keep this page open — you'll scan or type the code in a moment.
Tip: On a desktop browser? The QR code also encodes the APK download link, so scanning it on the phone takes you straight to the install file.
On the phone, either scan the QR code from the previous step OR open this page on the phone and tap Download APK. The file (ezlink-agent.apk, under 20 MB) saves to your phone's Downloads folder.
Tap the notification when the download finishes, or open Files / My Files → Downloads → tap ezlink-agent.apk. Android will warn you about installing from an unknown source — tap Settings, allow installs from the browser (or Files) you're using, then tap Install.
Tip: The exact path to allow unknown sources varies by phone — Samsung calls it 'Install unknown apps', Pixel calls it 'Install unknown apps', Xiaomi buries it under 'Privacy protection'. Either way, Android will deep-link you to the right screen automatically.
Launch EZLINK. On the first screen, paste or type your 8-character pairing code and tap Pair. The app pulls your Node ID and Token automatically and shows a green 'Connected to EZLINK' badge.
Tap Allow when Android asks for permission to manage the hotspot and run in the background. That's the only system prompt — the app handles the rest.
Tip: Once it's working, you can revoke 'install unknown apps' permission in Settings — it's only needed for the initial install.
"App not installed" or "Install blocked"
Android is blocking installs from unknown sources. On Pixel/Samsung: Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps → pick the app you downloaded with (Chrome, Files, Samsung Internet) → toggle Allow. On Xiaomi/MIUI: Settings → Privacy protection → Special permissions → Install unknown apps. Then tap the APK again.
Pairing code says "invalid or expired"
Codes expire after 24 hours and only work once. Go to Owner → My Nodes → Add Android Node and generate a fresh one.
Will it eat my battery?
The app only runs your hotspot when a paying roamer is actually connected. You also set a daily MB cap so it can never burn through your data.
Switching to a new phone
On the new phone: install the APK, then in Owner → My Nodes tap your node → Re-pair to get a fresh code. The node migrates over — no new Node ID needed.
