Starlink + Downstream Router

Starlink's own router can't run EZLINK directly. The trick is to put a MikroTik or OpenWRT router behind it — Starlink provides the internet, and the second router runs EZLINK.

Start here

Sign in, accept the short Host Agreement, and we'll generate your Node ID + Token (and the installer, if there is one) on the spot.

Before you start, you need:

  • A working Starlink dish + Starlink router.
  • A second router (MikroTik hAP ax² or any OpenWRT-compatible router is perfect).
  • An ethernet cable between the two routers.

Step by step

  1. 1

Sign in & accept the Host Agreement

Click Get my Starlink setup pack below, sign in, accept the agreement.

  2. 2

    Put Starlink into Bypass Mode

Open the Starlink app → Settings → Bypass Mode → enable. This turns off Starlink's Wi-Fi so your downstream router takes over.

  3. 3

Plug your second router into Starlink

Connect an ethernet cable from the Starlink ethernet adapter to the WAN port of your second router.

  4. 4

    Set up the second router

Follow the MikroTik guide OR the OpenWRT guide on this website — whichever router you have. The steps are identical from there.

How you'll know it worked

  • Your second router shows online in EZLINK.
  • Roamers can connect through Starlink via your node.

If something goes wrong

No internet on the second router

Make sure Starlink Bypass Mode is on. Reboot the second router.
