Ubiquiti UniFi

UniFi already has a 'Guest Portal' feature. We just tell it to use EZLINK as the external portal. No scripts, no SSH — all clicks.

Start here

Sign in, accept the short Host Agreement, and we'll generate your Node ID + Token (and the installer, if there is one) on the spot.

Before you start, you need:

  • A UniFi controller (Cloud Key, Dream Machine, or self-hosted).
  • At least one UniFi access point.
  • Admin login for your UniFi controller.

Step by step

    Sign in & accept the Host Agreement

    Click Get my UniFi settings below, sign in, accept the agreement. We'll give you two values to paste into UniFi.

    Open your UniFi controller

    Sign in at unifi.ui.com (or your self-hosted address). Open the site you want to host on.

    Create a Guest Hotspot Profile

    Go to Settings → Profiles → Guest Hotspot → Create New. Name it 'EZLINK'. For Authentication, choose External Portal Server.

    Paste the EZLINK portal URL

    Copy the Portal URL from the box below and paste it into the Custom Portal URL field. Save.

    Apply the profile to your guest network

    Go to Settings → WiFi → pick your guest SSID → set Hotspot Profile to EZLINK. Save.

  6. 6

    Test with a phone

    Connect a phone to the guest Wi-Fi. The EZLINK portal should pop up automatically.

How you'll know it worked

  • EZLINK portal opens on a test phone connecting to the guest SSID.
  • Node shows online in Owner → My Nodes within 2 minutes.

If something goes wrong

Portal doesn't appear, just a blank page

Make sure the guest network has 'Guest Policies' enabled, and the AP firmware is up to date.
